Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what guidance his Department has issued on 30 hours free childcare provision to parents whose job circumstances change in the rolling three-month period.

Parents call the childcare service helpline for a variety of reasons relating to the Tax-Free Childcare or 30 hours free childcare schemes. HMRC does not hold data about the number of parents who call before or while making an application for Tax-Free Childcare subsequently submit an application.

The Department for Education is responsible for 30 hours free childcare guidance. The childcare service helpline provides advice to parents who have a change in circumstances.
