Integrated care boards (ICBs) are required to commission appropriate palliative and end of life care services to meet the needs of their population. There is a range of guidance in place for local systems and health and care staff to enable them to provide support to those with a terminal or life changing diagnosis, including addressing psychological and spiritual needs.
