Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many people have been diagnosed with epilepsy by (a) gender and (b) age in each of the last five years.

Information concerning the number of people diagnosed with epilepsy in the last five years is not available. However, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence estimates that epilepsy affects between 362,000 and 415,000 people in England.
