Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what criteria his Department has used to approve and monitor contracts to Carillion since 2010; and what due diligence his Department undertakes before awarding contracts to companies that have issued profit warnings.

Departments continually monitor the operational performance of contracts to ensure the best outcome for taxpayers.
