Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment has been made of the potential merits of using specialist technologies for improving the life of ageing infrastructure.

The Department works with infrastructure operators on innovations for better managing transport infrastructure. For example, the Department encourages councils to embrace innovative practices to deliver better road maintenance programmes and supports research and innovation including through funding programmes such as Live Labs 2.
