Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what discussions he has had with assistive technology companies on support provided by that sector to reduce the employment gap for disabled people.

All DWP digital services are designed and built in line with Government Digital Service guidelines, and two international standards for IT accessibility (EN 301 549 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.00). Our goal is to ensure that digital services can be used by as many people as possible without the use of separate assistive technology.

To ensure that they meet these standards services are tested during development and before implementation. This includes technical tests and user testing. We also encourage and act on feedback from service users following implementation.
