Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what advice she has received on whether the one month delay in the Basic Payments Scheme registration deadline for farmers to make their claims under the new CAP will lead to a delay in the paying out of claims.

The Rural Payments Agency will be making full payments as early as possible in the payment window. Payments will start from December and the vast majority will be made by the end of January. This is in line with the experience of recent years.
