Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, if she will compensate farmers who have already paid agents or third party suppliers to register their Basic Payments Scheme claims online for additional charges incurred by them.

There are many reasons why farmers may choose to use agents or third party suppliers and so we would not look to provide compensation for these business based decisions. We are providing targeted support to make it as easy as possible for both farmers and agents to submit a claim.
