Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, pursuant to the Answer on 1 February 2022 to Question 112647 on Offenders: Females, if he will publish the specification for the service delivery and building design for the first Residential Women’s Centre in Wales.

I will publish both the specification for service delivery and for building design once a site has been purchased and planning permission has been secured, and prior to both building refurbishment works and service commencement.

We have based our engagement on those local authority areas with sufficient demand and met with the following authorities: Bridgend, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Newport, Rhondda Cynon Taff and Swansea. The specific sites that are under consideration are subject to commercial negotiations.
