Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, when he expects the new carina hearing device to be available on the NHS.

The carina hearing device is a cochlear implant which is currently available through the National Health Service. It is only considered to be suitable for a small number of patients, and is available through a number of auditory implant centres including Oxford, Sheffield and Cambridge.
