Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what discussions he has had with doctors about the recent NHS England guidance on sexual orientation monitoring.
None. The Sexual Orientation Monitoring Information Standard was developed by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Foundation on behalf of NHS England. As part of this work, organisations across the healthcare system were consulted to seek their views. The LGBT Foundation gathered intelligence and consultation data from a wide range of sources including individual general practitioners (GPs), GP practices and small, medium and large National Health Service foundation trusts, and health and social care trusts.
