Integration funding is used to support work which brings communities together and promotes tolerance. Under section 70 (1) of the Charities Act 2006, a relevant Minister may give financial assistance to any charitable, benevolent or philanthropic institution in respect of any of the institution's activities which directly or indirectly benefit the whole or any part of England. Proposals from any organisations, including those with a significant faith element, are assessed on value for money, deliverability and feasibility, as well as the likely outcomes to be achieved.
