The Department has not made a specific assessment of the effect of zero hour contracts on the adequacy of provision of social care. However, we continue to monitor the provision of adult social care.

Individual employers are responsible for their own workforce planning, and choosing which employment contracts to offer their employees. Individual employers are responsible for ensuring they have the right number of staff with the right skills, values and behaviours to deliver care.
