Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, pursuant to the Answer of 28 October 2020 to question 106396 on what date his Department last had discussions with the Scottish Government on the implementation of a UK emissions trading scheme.

Ministers and officials in BEIS have regular discussions with the Scottish Government, Welsh Government and Northern Ireland Executive on legislation, governance and operational arrangements for a UK Emissions Trading Scheme. Most recently, officials from BEIS had discussions with officials from the Scottish Government on Friday 30th October 2020 and on Tuesday 27^th October 2020.
