Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what steps his Department is taking to raise awareness of the high risks of sight problems in people with learning disabilities.

Ascertaining if there are problems with vision is part of the annual health check which is offered to people aged 14 and over who have been assessed as having moderate, severe or profound learning disabilities, or people with a mild learning disability who have other complex health needs.
