The Government has set out the plan for managing COVID-19 in autumn and winter 2021/22. In spring 2022, we will review the Coronavirus Act 2020 and its remaining regulations to determine whether they should remain in place.

The COVID-19 vaccination and booster programme ensures the best long term protection available. The Vaccines Task Force has already procured vaccines to deploy booster programmes in autumn 2022 if necessary and will review future vaccination needs

We will set out a plan for the future management of COVID-19 in due course.
