Children encounter racial bias from a very young age. Nurseries and primary schools are where attitudes and identities form, yet no mandatory anti-racism training exists for staff.

We believe this leaves many ill-equipped to respond, and children, particularly from ethnic minority backgrounds, without adequate support. Making this training compulsory could equip educators with the tools to build fairer, safer, more inclusive schools from the start.
