Require drivers to stop and seek medical assistance if they hit a cat

I want the Government to make it law that if you hit a cat with a motor vehicle that you must stop and seek medical assistance, either from a local vet or animal welfare organisation.

There are too many cats being run over and just left to die because it doesn't say in law you have to stop. Some drivers do, although, many do not.

Our family cat Felix had been run over a week ago. Thankfully he managed to get home so I could seek him medical assistance but many cats don't make it home. Unfortunately a week after Felix had to be put to sleep as the damage was too severe. You can imagine the emotional impact that this has had on me and my children. The law needs change.
