Run a competition to commission an NHS logo which incorporates the George Cross

The Queen awarded the George Cross to the NHS in 2021. We believe incorporating the award appropriately into the NHS logo will provide all NHS workers with a constant reminder of the high esteem their role is held by the nation.

We think commissioning a national competition for an appropriate logo will remind the nation of the contribution of the NHS to society over many years. Given the nature of the award we believe Parliament is the best place to propose, debate and approve this initiative. There is historical precedent from a previous collective George Cross in the case of the flag of Malta.
