Review prescribing of topical corticosteroids

We think there should be a review in the way that topical corticosteroids are prescribed by GPs and Dermatologists. There are concerns about the withdrawal reactions, known by some as Red Skin Syndrome.

We believe that social media and media show that these medications are not always prescribed safely, and are causing preventable suffering.

We want to see a change in the way GPs and Dermatologists prescribe these medications. The review should consider whether there is a need for the relevant health authorities to review criteria in the frequency, length, and potency of prescriptions.
