Launch an independent review of NHS wheelchair services

I’m calling on the Government to launch a full, independent review of NHS wheelchair services. We feel too many disabled people may be be let down by delays, poor assessments, unsuitable equipment, and a lack of accountability. We need urgent reform to ensure dignity and fair care.

As a disabled person, I’ve suffered years of delays, pain, and poor treatment from wheelchair services. I know I’m not alone — others across the UK face the same struggles. I think services are underfunded, slow, and can put cost above care. I’ve experienced infections, mental health decline, and loss of independence due to an unsuitable wheelchair. We need a full, independent review to make sure disabled people get the support, dignity, and equipment we deserve.
