Provide more funding for supporting people reporting crimes abroad

We believe the British Government needs to do more to protect its own citizens abroad. More funding should be provided to support those reporting a crime abroad, for example if they are abroad studying/doing business/holidaying or have relocated.

I think the FCDO offices abroad are not well resourced, and more funding could help the UK Government protect victims reporting crime in a foreign country. While it can't intervene in another country's law, it could have more funding so that it can provide help translating documents, supporting victims, and even giving emergency financial grants to hire local lawyers.
