Put a cap on private renting of £700 per calendar month (PCM) so that it is affordable for people in the private rental sector, as there is a lack of social housing and it can be very hard to get accepted.

The Government should also:
- Require landlords to offer life-long tenancies to private renters, so they fell secure and can have a home for as long as they need
- Give people who have been renting privately for 2 years or more the right to apply for social housing
