Nursing is a valued profession, in recent times the government eradicated the funding for the course to become a qualified nurse. The cohort of final year nurses, qualifying 2020 have been under immense strain emotionally and financially. As the government have recognised this issue and reinstated the bursary with consideration to unfilled vacancies, this years cohort slip through the gap and are left with lots of debt. We are now needed to stop our studies early and support with the pandemic.
