DfE, not school budgets, to fund recently announced teacher pay rise (July 2019)

The recently announced teacher pay rise of 2.75% was welcomed warmly by many out. However, those working day in, day out in schools acknowledge that such a payrise places increasingly uneccesary pressure upon school budgets that are already incredibly stretched and set for the next academic year.
