General CommitteesI say this charitably: as good-natured as the Minister can be, he is often accused by me and others of not understanding what actually takes place in an organised workplace. It is quite clear that Government Ministers collectively organised to leave their posts, causing huge inconvenience to the public, but I do not see delegated legislation to impose minimum service levels on Government Ministers.
Isn’t that because the public could not tell the difference between when they were in office and when they resigned?
That may very well be the case. The hon. Member makes an eloquent point.
