To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they provided information to the Northern Ireland Executive and other devolved administrations on the introduction of renewable energy schemes; and if so, whether models were suggested and advice given on the appropriateness of such schemes and on their compliance with EU law.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has regular discussions with the Northern Ireland Executive on a range of matters, including the introduction and administration of renewable energy schemes.

Where renewable energy schemes, including the Northern Ireland Renewable Heat Incentive, are devolved to Northern Ireland they are the responsibility of the Northern Ireland Executive.

The twelfth round of negotiations for the EU-US Free Trade Agreement – also known as the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) – took place in February. We are making progress and our ambition remains to reach a political agreement during the Obama presidency.
