The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has regular discussions with the Northern Ireland Executive on a range of matters, including the introduction and administration of renewable energy schemes.

Where renewable energy schemes, including the Northern Ireland Renewable Heat Incentive, are devolved to Northern Ireland they are the responsibility of the Northern Ireland Executive.
