Question to the Department for Education:
To ask Her Majesty's Government how many regional adoption agencies have been created; what areas they cover; and in how many of those agencies the Secretary of State for Education has used the direction-making power contained in section 15 of the Education and Adoption Act 2016.

There are 10 live regional adoption agencies covering a third of local authorities. We have not used the direction-making power contained in Section 15 of the Education Act 2016. A list of the local authorities involved in these agencies is attached.
