Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask His Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the numbers of live animals moved either from or via Northern Ireland to be slaughtered in Europe or North Africa.

No recent assessment has been made, although livestock and horses for slaughter or fattening cannot be moved from Northern Ireland to Europe or North Africa through Great Britain under the Animal Welfare (Livestock Exports) Act 2024.
