Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the Written Answers by Baroness Vere of Norbiton on 3 March (HL6222 and HL6223), which space-based augmentation systems they are investigating as an alternative to European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Services (EGNOS).

The Government is exploring the possibilities for alternatives to EGNOS, including investing in the initial research and development for a potential UK system. However, it is too early to determine the suitability of a specific solution as a long-term replacement for EGNOS.
