Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what plans they have to make lateral flow tests available free of charge to people (1) on low incomes, or (2) on benefits, to help address health inequalities.

From 1 April 2022, free access to lateral flow device tests for the public in England will end. Free testing will continue to be available for a small number of at-risk groups. We will set out further details on eligible groups in due course and the impact of these policies on people on low incomes or benefits and health inequalities will be kept under review.
