Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government, following the discovery of a further mass grave in Khafsa, Iraq, what progress is being made in establishing international judicial mechanisms to bring to justice supporters of ISIS who are accused of genocide and crimes against humanity.

This question was answered on 5th April 2017

The recent discovery of the mass grave in Khasfa provides further evidence of the appalling crimes Daesh have committed against the people of Iraq. We are committed to bringing Daesh to justice for these crimes. Investigative and prosecutorial work is already underway across the world. We are working closely with the Government of Iraq and other international partners to identify further ways to take this work forward, including at the UN.
