Helicopters: Isles of Scilly

Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask Her Majesty's Government what licences and approvals are required for a scheduled helicopter service carrying fare-paying passengers to start operations between Lands End airport, St Mary’s airport and Tresco Heliport.

A helicopter operator offering commercial air transport will require an Air Operators Certificate and also an Operating Licence. In issuing an operating licence the Civil Aviation Authority will assure itself of the structured arrangements and finances of the applicant in accordance with EU licensing regulation 1008/2008.
