To ask Her Majesty’s Government what assessment they have made of the impact of loans under the student loan scheme on the availability of mortgage finance for first time buyers.

The Council for Mortgage Lenders advises that having a student loan will not affect a borrower’s eligibility to be considered for a mortgage.
