The UK remains strongly committed to promoting and protecting freedom of religion or belief (FoRB). Special Envoy for FoRB, David Smith MP, attended the International Religious Freedom Summit. He highlighted that by working with diverse international partnerships and a broad range of civil society voices, we can create meaningful change. The joint declaration for the UK-Vietnam strategic partnership commits both countries to cooperation on human rights. We will continue to raise concerns and specific cases directly with the Vietnamese government, including through our Ambassador in Hanoi.
