Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask Her Majesty’s Government, following Sir Simon McDonald's visit to Sudan on 10 January, what benchmarks they are using to measure the effectiveness of dialogue between the UK and Sudan.
The UK-Sudan Strategic Dialogue (which meets every six months) provides a platform for us to explore possibilities for cooperation on a wide range of UK interests where our aims align, as well as an avenue to raise concerns directly with the government of Sudan. As part of this process, we assess progress on issues of mutual interest and identify what further action needs to be taken.
