DCMS engaged extensively with a wide range of stakeholders from across the prize draw industry to develop the Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators. This included operators of various scales, broadcasters, relevant regulators, an industry body, a trade association and other parties connected to the sector (e.g. web developers).

This collaborative approach enabled DCMS to reach consensus on the required standards that are both achievable and proportionate - to work towards the ultimate aims of strengthening player protections, increasing transparency and accountability.

We are confident that this engagement covered a large proportion of the market share, based on the findings of independent research.
