Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask Her Majesty's Government what discussions they have had with the government of the United States about the absence of United States representation at the virtual Coronavirus Global Response International Pledging Conference on 4 May 2020; whether the Prime Minister has personally spoken to the President of the United States on this issue; whether the United States will be represented at the Global Vaccine Summit on 4 June; and if so, by whom.
The UK is in regular contact at the highest levels with our US partners on our joint response to the global COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to work with all of our international partners - including the US - ahead of the Global Vaccine Summit on 4 June, to ensure new vaccines, treatments and tests will be accessible to everyone, as quickly as possible, to end this pandemic
