To ask His Majesty's Government what progress the flood and drought resilience taskforce has made to improve preparedness for potential flooding this winter.

The Floods and Drought Resilience Taskforce met on 14 October to consider flood preparedness for winter. It confirmed that local and national preparedness in England has overall improved compared to 12 months ago. Progress includes enhancements to national river, groundwater and coastal flood modelling and new national forecasting services.
