Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask Her Majesty's Government how many people are in prison serving (1) a life sentence, (2) an Extended Determinate Sentence, and (3) an Imprisonment for Public Protection sentence, by ethnicity.
The number of prisoners serving Extended Determinate Sentences, Imprisonment for Public Protection sentences, and Life sentences, by ethnicity, as at 30 September 2021, in England and Wales, is shown in the following table:
