The Government has the powers under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 to introduce autonomous sanctions measures in support of its foreign policy objectives. These powers will be used to establish an import ban, advertising services ban and new designation powers through a new sanctions regime through secondary legislation within the next six to nine months. We will now also refuse all export licenses for arms and other exports that materially contribute to the Occupation; this does not require additional legislation and is already in effect.
