Question to the Home Office:

To ask His Majesty's Government when a new Commissioner for Countering Extremism will be appointed.

As is usual when public appointments come to an end, Ministers are considering next steps and will update the House in due course.

We continue to welcome external challenge from experts on the Government’s approach to Counter-Extremism and regularly engage with organisations through events such as conferences and symposiums.
