Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government, in the light of official figures published in August showing that the number of international students overstaying their visas was lower than previously estimated by the ONS, what changes have been made to the quarterly net migration statistics.

The information requested falls within the responsibility of the UK Statistics Authority. I have asked the Authority to reply.
