Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what has been the value of Universal Credit payments as a percentage of average earnings, for each year since its inception.

The Department for Work and Pensions publishes annual Abstract of DWP benefit rates statistics. The purpose of the publication and data tables is to provide a reference source for people who are interested in benefit uprating and the value of benefits compared to prices and earnings.
