Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they have made representations to the International Committee of the Red Cross in relation to the reported placement by Hamas of military facilities and weapons in civilian areas in Gaza.

The Government has not made any representations to the International Committee of the Red Cross over this issue. We condemn any use of human shields, and call on all sides to ensure that Gazan and Israeli civilians are not put in danger.
