Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask Her Majesty's Government how many strategic rail freight interchanges have secured planning consent since the designation of the National Policy Statement for National Networks.

Since the designation of the National Policy Statement for National Networks, one application for a Strategic Rail Freight Interchange scheme has been granted Development Consent under the Planning Act 2008.
