Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether Emma Stanton is subject to the Business Appointment Rules for Civil Servants following her role as Director of Supplies and Innovation for NHS Test and Trace.

Emma Stanton is subject to Civil Service Business Appointment Rules and was notified of conditions relating to these rules regarding her future role with Oxford Nanopore. These related to restrictions on lobbying of the United Kingdom Government and related commercial activities and a reminder on the use of privileged information gained in her time at NHS Test and Trace and were commensurate with the short length of time she was working for them.
