Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, which police forces in England ran campaigns in 2014 to tackle cyclists riding on footpaths other than a pavement; what the dates and locations was of each such campaign; and how many cyclists were given fixed penalties or prosecuted during those campaigns.
The Home Office does not hold this information. How the police enforce the offence of cycling on the footpath, including any particular campaigns, is an operational matter for their discretion.
