Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps she is taking to help ensure that newly qualified independent prescribers have clinical supervision.

The education and training standards for independent prescribers will be set by relevant regulators, and the clinical governance of that person’s work will vary depending on profession and sector. They will all be registered and regulated health professionals, accountable for continuously improving the quality of their services and safeguarding high standards of care.
